[Sell] Trident Maple Material- Suitable For Forest

Post by Joel »

Hi all,

Selling a bunch of trident maple seedlings suitable for making a forest for $50. Pickup Hornsby (NSW) area or delivered if nearby.

Will need to move soon as they have been uprooted and are starting to grow, hence the low price. Perfect for a beginner.

This photo shows all the plants you'll receive:

Is there a problem with the photo uploader at the moment? My files are under 600kb each and 600 x 800 pixels but won't upload.

Many of us have noticed your absence Joel, especially in ID threads.
Hope all is well up there.
Do you know if anyone ever managed to propagate that santalum in the botanic gardens?

I'll do my best to check in more regularly. I just popped over to the identification forum and you and Sno seem to have it pretty well covered!

The Santalum never got repropagated as we already have many plants at Mt Annan and no suitable garden themes at the Sydney site. I would have loved to have played around with reprop but in the end it was deemed unnecessary. I now do most of the fieldwork for the organisation so can easily pick up propagation for any NSW species if we need it in the future.

Do you still grow Santalum? I recently purchased a Santalum accuminatum for my garden though. I have heavy soils in a cool gully so it will likely fail but I couldn't resist. It was started with Viola betonicifolia as a host then moved onto Acacia stricta. It's still in a large forestry tube and was puchased from Bilby Blooms nursery. He's got some really great stuff.

If you ever have a day or two to spare and would like to join me for some fieldwork, let me know! I go to some beautiful places and always need volunteers.
