Hi Mel,
Thanks as always for posting the photos. There are some there I don't remember seeing in the flesh, so I obviously wasn't as thorough looking around as I thought I was. Fantastic show, and some really lovely trees on display. My favourite was the Swamp Cypress (8569). The photo doesn't do it justice - it had so much depth that you felt drawn in to explore its branches and leaves.
The fig you really liked won it's category, I believe Mel, and yes, it was a lovely tree. Did you have any on show, and if so, which were they? I forgot to ask

Thanks John, Terry and Sonya. My fav fig won an encouragement award, I'm pleased to say! The Swampy you love belongs to Steve, I'm pretty sure. Yes, I agree, it is indeed fabulous.
My tree is the benji with the slashed pot and bamboo accent. Still a LONNNNNNG way to go getting some decent foliage on it.
In the second lot of pics, DSC_8586.

Many thanks for all the pics Mel ... lots of nice things happening up north! I particularly like the prickly paperbark but there are plenty of great things that catch the eye, thanks for sharing.

Re: Redlands Bonsai Society Annual Show 2019
We've broken all records with this show, record numbers of visitors, record sales, and this was the weekend when most of the BIMER members were busy with their Peter Warren event! To add the cream on top, a visitor from Italy spent a good part of the afternoon taking photos and videos to share with his club back home. He said he was very impressed with the health and quality of the trees and the beautiful displays.
