Literati Larch

Post by AP2 »

Hi guys

I picked up a cheap Larch at the BNW sale and was wondering if i could get any tips.

At the moment, it's fairly thin and is very flexible. It's a bit straight and i'll take some photos of it tomorrow. If anyone has any designs they'd like to see attempted (albeit by a novice), feel free to post them. I'm willing to try any radical bends with this thing as this was just a minor investment.

Any ideas?

why not try it in the literati contest??? you will get some great advice there along with some great discussion about the style and you may even win something ;)

it starts in dec.

if you want to do that dont post it in here. post it in the aus bonsai literati contest discussion. i will find the thread and link it.

heres the link viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2509&hilit=literati+contest

dont do any work to it yet though. read the rules of the contest, i know its a long thread but you will understand :D

Thanks Jamie

I will do, that's PERFECT because it's after exams and i have a month long wait before my flight out for christmas.

It's a fairly bland looking thing so yeah, it'll be good for the contest. I'll post here anyway if people want to have a look. is that allowed...?

We can start work on the literati contest trees as soon as a few days. Starts the new month although entries will be taken upto a month later I think for late starters.
Edit: Yes mate posting a tree anywhere before the start is encouraged but we are asking for work to only start after the begining of November as a start date.
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
