Re: Aus Bonsai Literati Bunjingi Competition.
Can we purchase stock to enter the comp at any time?
I know the Guidelines said that new stock should be purchased before the start date but I live out in the sticks (7 ks to mail box, 100k to nearest town, 3 hrs drive to a range of nurserys) and won't be able to look for stock for a few weeks.
I have a couple for the aged stock section but the new stock I've yet to find,

Entries are being taken from Today until the end of this Month so still plenty of time.
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Re: Aus Bonsai Literati Bunjingi Competition.
Here's a magnificent pine which was originally styled by Dan Barton I think. In view of the black backdrop, I've found it easy to see other trees within it. No re-shaping at all, just by elimination.
Here I see a windswept:-
an informal upright:-
Moving towards Literati:-
No wiring and no growth of course, just directions to go within a tree.
