Hi pure hart
I think all your need to do now is to do the secondary branch wiring to define the ramifications ie to flatten out the pads and create the spaces. Also remove the little Jin going down

Yes I think you are spot on... I don’t think I will ever be happy with this tree and I’ll end up killing it... so I will donate it to a non bonsai friend that thinks it is amazing and will love it as I could never do...Keep Calm and Ramify wrote:Do you think you will ever be happy with this? - It seems the trunk line was a major issue from the start. Have you thought of stripping off some bark at the top and creating artificial taper for a literati?
