Understand the depth. They can be very quick to develop roots. I think a simple plain oval would compliment the tree more its not a criticism I love the tree. I wouldn't say no to it on my brench

They are hardy and shoot bac easily.
Timber is as hard as rock and thin bark so takes ages to grow over large scars
An excellent thread and tree. It'll be good to see an update and I am intrigued by the front back discussion - to my my eye the back looked great as a front but photos are rarely as informative as seeing the tree in prson.
I love the historical context of the workshop with Peter Adams, the cat and just Ken's general joy at being involved in the workshop and meeting the Adams' couple.
It makes me lament the recent cancelled workshop in Canberra but again, the world has bigger problems; missed workshops not being one of them.
