Black birds picking my moss off
Hi all, has anyone got any tips on stopping black birds picking at my moss on my bonsai plants, I've tried spraying my pots and plants with lime sulpher(make my back yard stink) and hung cd's off my tress and they seem to be defeating me at the minute, if anyone has a nother solution that would stop me feeling defeated .

I cut mesh to lay over the pots. Does not look great gut certainly stops the blackbirds.

I have trained my Blackbirds to just stand and admire the trees: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=28796&start=75

I've used Possoff and it works.

My thoughts exactly but convincing them has been much harder. I have a number of lethal solutions which sees off a few each year but the more I try the more cunning they get.All Blackbirds need to die.

Re: Black birds picking my moss off
Although i'm talking from more of a moss garden perspective than bonsai, i use black bird netting to keep the birdies from ripping up the moss. If you can get the stuff with 5mm or so squares its extremely hard to see unless you're looking for it up close....if you've got long enough moss it'll poke through it nicely too.
You can see some it in this pic
