Second one is done. Here is how it ended up.
Hesitated a bit about that one root on top of the other but decided to accept it.
Here's how it was positioned in the pot. Slightly smaller pot than the other one. My idea will be to slip pot them up through summer and maybe even with some more light root work.

Some buds, but not on the repotted stump, on the cuttings I took off them.
This was last weekend just before leaving for a holiday.
I can think of two reasons they might have started budding before the stumps.
One because I chopped below where any buds were forming, so the cuttings were perhaps already almost ready to go.
And the cuttings were put in a mini greenhouse which has probably kept them a fair bit warmer.
On the day of these photos I also added one of the stumps in the box with the cuttings, it'll be interesting to see if it takes off sooner than the other one.

The stump in the mini green house started budding, about a week ago it already had some green showing. Here it is today.
During the week I removed it from the mini greenhouse in order to make space for some seeds I planted.
The other one that was left 'outside' hasn't budged yet. Either it didn't make it or the warmth and humidity of the greenhouse really helped this one. The parent tree that the cuttings came from is already well in flower and has started pushing out some leaves.
Stump number 1.
Cuttings.
