And just to keep this progression up to date - I repotted the "bonus" trunk today. I noticed it was already budding out, as are a number of my Chinese Elms ... very early (usually I make it til August). Anyway, I thought I'd better get on with it.

Ha!! Many thanks MJL but let's not get too crazy!! The more I seem to learn when it comes to bonsai, the more I see there is still to learn ... I doubt there will be an end to that which is good, always learning ... always evolving. There are plenty of great people doing some pretty extraordinary things in bonsai here, I'm just happy to be a part of it but I do appreciate your sentiment so thankyou!

Looking great mate, like you i enjoy to make small changes to viewing angles or pots at repotting time to give it a fresh look and maybe catch your eye a bit more again on the benches

I always get a bit caught out by repotting season, in my head it's at least another month away, but then i look at my trees and see some are moving faster than others and i have to start pulling my finger out.
