[SELL] R3 Native Trees

Post by Ryceman3 »

Hi All,
Time for a bit of a spring clean-up of my racks, and I'm getting more ruthless as time goes by it seems!
Up for sale are a few natives. I haven't gone too hard on the images, I expect that people will want more than one photo but I was being mindful of overloading the thread with too much "stuff", so if you want more shots of any of the trees or have questions/need info/whatever I am happy to share what I can... just send me a message or reply here.

.....

First image is of 2 Melaleuca rhaphiophylla that were grown from seed (see THE MEL PROJECT thread ... https://www.ausbonsai.com.au/forum/view ... hp?t=27824)
01 MelRhaph1+2_01.jpg
#1 : (on the left) Has had a chop back a couple of weeks ago and is now budding nicely along the trunk/branches as a result. Trunk dia. at base = 33mm, overall height approx 240mm. It is in a 135mm grow pot currently. $75

#2 : (on the right) No chop back for this one yet, but would benefit from it to get growth concentrated where you want it. Shows good bends/movement to the right, base dia. = 32mm, overall height approx 180mm. $80

.....

Second image is of 2 Melaleuca cuticularis that were grown from seed (as above)
02 MelCut3+4_01.jpg
#3 : There are actually two trees in this pot, They are growing in a way that should see them fuse in a few more years, but if you wanted to separate that is definitely possible. Larger trunk has a base around 20mm with a height of 350mm or so. Smaller one (on the left (it comes from the back in this view) is about 10mm diam with a height around 190mm. $80

#4 : Chopped back like the other mel in the first image and is now budding nicely. Base diam = 40mm and height is approx. 330mm. $80

.....

Third image is also from seed as above. These are a bit smaller/rawer.
03 MelHal5+6_01.jpg
#5 : Good movement at the base and starting to get nice and "papery" in the trunk. Diam = 25mm, Height currently is over 400mm and has a lot of options to cut back to. $35

#6 : Again, 2 trees in this pot that are growing together in a fashion to fuse as they develop, but are capable of being separated should you wish right now. Larger base = 15mm, Height = 180mm. Smaller tree base = 10mm, height = 175mm $20

.....

Fourth image, Melaleuca nesophila... you guessed it, from seed.
Base = 22mm Height = 250mm Has good movement/branching options to the left and what I consider to be a sacrifice (first branch on the right) to help thicken things. A decent start. $35
04 MelNeso_01.jpg
.....

Image 5 - Allocasuarina Littoralis. Has also made an appearance in the Sheoak Tubestock thread (https://www.ausbonsai.com.au/forum/view ... hp?t=29168)
I have trimmed my other trees from this vintage but let this one go, so it is need of a tidy up. A good opportunity to grab a nice tree and work on it as soon as you get it! In great health and lots of branching/movement to play with. Could show it next week if you were so inclined!
Base = 25mm, Height = 330mm. $175
05 AlloLit_01.jpg
.....

Image 6, Melaleuca Stypheliodes from seed (as above)
I won't be selling both of these, but can't really decide which one I should keep, so whichever goes first, the other will be pulled from sale and back to my benches!
06 MelStyph_01.jpg
Mel on the left (blue bonsai pot) : Base diam = 45mm, height = 180mm. Tree was trimmed a couple of weeks ago and is backbudding PROFUSELY. It's pretty much in the refinement stage with trunk and branch movement/position set down to tertiary stage. You don't see a lot of Mels at this size with this level of refinement. Also in show condition. Pot is Japanese green/blue glaze and rectangular with indented corners. It is signed (I can provide a pic of the Hanko) but I haven't researched hard enough to discern the maker. This is a cool tree. $175

Mel on the right (light brown Tosui pot) : Base diam = 48mm, height = 250mm. This tree also trimmed a few weeks earlier and budding up exceptionally well since. As above in terms of level of refinement. Pot is signed/Japanese and can also provide a pic of the hanko on the base for anybody interested. This is also a cool tree ready to hit the exhibition tables! $200

.....

Last up, a big one (for me!). This is a Callistemon Sieberi that I purchased from shibui well over 6 years ago now (maybe 8?).
07 CallSieb_01.jpg
Base = 50mm, Height = 400mm, width = 400mm.
Current Pot is rectangular at 210x160x60mm and is cracked so needs replacing... lucky native repot season is pretty much now!
Tree is full of new growth and healthy overall. Bark is developing nicely on the trunk. $300

Like I said, any questions/image requests etc. either reply in this thread or send me a message and I'll do my best to sort you out.

Hey there,

I’m interested in the rhaphiophylla on the right - number 2 and the nesophila. Only issue is I’m Canberra based so not sure how the plants can go from you to me?

If postage to Canberra is on offer, I'll buy all of the mels that have not been claimed already :D

Wow ... thanks everyone for the responses.
I need to go through all the messages I have received and replies in the thread etc so I can figure out what is going where and to whom!
I'll reserve the right to deliberate on the postage thing, right now I think probably it'll be OK.
Just a heads up though that I will only do Express Post, and obviously at the expense of the buyer. Apologies, I should have addressed this in the first post.
I'll update again soon with what/if anything is still available.

PMs sent to all who got in contact.
If you haven't heard from me, I didn't hear from you!!
The Allocasuarina is the only tree left without a firm offer, but if anything falls through with other verbal sales I will update here.
Thanks again all!

All trees that were nominated are now paid for and picked up!
Many thanks to those who reached out and grabbed some stuff, apologies to those that missed out this time ... there might be a few others down the track.
A special shout out to the Canberra contingent who made the trip to grab their stock ... that's commitment right there! :o :worship:

The only remaining soul is the Allocasuarina, so I'll leave it up for grabs and see if we can polish off the whole list.

Once again, thanks all!

:bump:
For the sheoak ... I might look at giving it a trim/style if it doesn't get picked up in the next week or so.
