Ideas for this maple stump
Hi everyone, been a while since I've posted anything. I had the privilege to collect this maple today. Neighbour was getting rid of all the trees in his back garden. I know it's a bit early here in the UK but neighbour wanted it gone. It's in the greenhouse so hopefully it'll be fine. If it survives what suggestions are there for a direction.

Re: Ideas for this maple stump
The usual story: get it healthy and then work out the best (smallest?) tree you can make.
The photo suggests that the remaining lower branch needs to go. (On the basis of taper). Being that it’s nice and thick I’d air layer it off and make a broom style tree with it.
