Posting trees Perth to Sydney

Post by Paulneill »

Silly question, but just want to check
I want to post a bonsai to my sister in Sydney.
From Perth. Pretty sure it’s not allowed without quarantine or jumping thru some hoops.
Or can I just post it.
I recently posted a beautiful 600 doller Japanese maple to my dad in Ireland and that got taken by customs and incinerated. They are even cracking down on it. Tho that had something to do with brexit. And import tax’s i think. Dad was devo .

I don't know of any restrictions for plants between WA and Sydney but the quarantine website says ask before carrying potted plants into NSW from all states except Tas.
https://interstatequarantine.org.au/tra ... p-landing/
Phone number for NSW DPI quarantine is – 1800 084 881 or quarantine@dpi.nsw.gov.au
