ulmus procera - english elm

Post by aaron_tas »

i have a piece of elm i dug around a year ago, maybe in the height of summer a little more...

it was found in a boggy marsh close to the roadside, near a forest of elm, it begged me to take it so i only obliged :D

unfortunately i do not have the smash em up into the pot photo's, but....

i do have some recent photo's, remember these are a year after collection.

as of the 17th of november...

i LOVE English elms. Keep us posted on its progress. Once it is styled you can defoliate twice in one season and the leaf size comes down admirably.

i do remember qiute a few, i smashed most of them off though getting it out of the massive pad of roots that i had to cut it from...

this one took me about half an hour to get out, which is heeeeps too long for a tree this size
