Dayne you can do anything with swampys...... I reckon they would sit up and beg if you ask them nicely :lol: :lol:

Hey guy's here is a progress shot of the second swampy that is no this thread.
I attacked it with a blow torch a few weeks ago.
What's your ideas??

Thats a good article and the technique would definately work well. The one thing that surprised me was they were waiting for the wood to rot. I have found the wood resisitant to rot; although from memory Vaughan Banting is fromNew Orleans Louisiana where there is lots of humidity ,where both the Swampies and gators grow big.

hey shan, i know the plans for this tree and it will look great once extended, unless you have planned on changing to keep the apex a little lower?

if so i would think about bringing that carved tip down a bit smaller creating a little more space, but i would like to see the tree fill out more as it may not be necessary ;)

i love the carving of this tree, you gotta get a close up of the details mate :D
