ficus benji. broom style??? or is there something else??

jamie its a case of what suits you best. i dont layer figs. i cut back hard or flat bottom them. now i am impressed with the result you got from layering, i just cant be bothered :roll: too neat? well i guess you can always stuffm up a bit. twistm, tie up in knots, loopm around. :lol: :P

that is my concern with it being to neat ? i was just looknig at it thinking maybe if i randomize where i cut it, maye not a full ring bark, but a cut here and another a bit higher but over there etc. that would fix that problem. i think if i do it just where it needs to be i will be better off. i havent done anything yet, so i will have to ponder on what to do??

now theres a thought for sure, that would make for something different wouldnt it lol. i have even been thinknig about layering the entire top off and using the base as a sumo start too......... :twisted:

dont think the missus would be to happy though, it is one of her favourite trees, i got lucky last night that she likes what i did to it after i snapped it lol, she could of gone right off :shock: :lol:
