mate, thats a fair call and definately you are entitled to an opinion like everyone else, i am concerned about the foliage myself, i am wondering how it would take to grafting something like shimpaku foliage to it??? i dont know?

the driftwood can be worked on and taken down, it is a rather severe point i do agree, as for making a raft forest that wouldnt work for me, i cant have big trees anymore, i need to look toward shohin size, maybe chuhin at the biggest, i have a few prolased discs in my back from a work accident, so no more heavy lifting for me althought that would of been a good idea. i still think that you would of come acros the same problem with foliage no matter what you went with, i think with refinement and time i might be able to change your mind on it all :? maybe :D

cheers ed.

Cheers Jamie, I hope to see the tree in a few years down the track. Maybe you can change my mind, and I look forward to it. Sorry to hear about your back and yes, you were right to make it into a shohin in that case.

cool mate :D i just might surprise ya with the tree :D and as for my back its something i cant do anything about so i have to live with it so all in all, i have just had to learn to live with it, hence one of the reasons for shohin :D

i am even thinking i might be able to graft sawara cypress foliage onto it, maybe even psifira, maybe i dont know, this will be something i might test beofre i do though as i have found the more i look at this tree the more potential i see in it :D dunno why its just one of those things :D

i will update on the tree when there is something to show :D

cheers :D
