Holy Bonsai!
Stumbled across this on the internet....never seen Bonsai displayed like this before but I think it works well.

Re: Holy Bonsai!
It's a great Idea but the display is a bit caotic I think
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

I love the tree but i will reserve judgment on the setting. Hard to separate my mind from the traditional.

Re: Holy Bonsai!
This puts me in mind of our church. During Lent, no floral decorations are used and so I take a few trees in, changing the arrangement weekly until Easter. Old buddies will have seen some of my efforts in another place.

Re: Holy Bonsai!
545? I dont understand...
I saw a post a while back on AusBonsai about displaying Aussie native Bonsai in a more Australian way. This display is trying to mix the traditional with something different... I think its exactly what a lot of people here would like to do with their native trees. Maybe we could switch a VB can with the holy grail there and have a picture of a cocky on the kakejiku!
