My new stands

Post by bonsaiboy50 »

Hi all, My first post.
Just a few pics of my new stands to take a couple of my larger figs. The stands are made from Hebal blocks and treated pine sleepers. They measure 600H 1200W and 600D. Hope you like them , love to hear what you think. AS you can see i love figs and have quite a few , including many large ones.

Footings for Hebal blocks are 50mm deep. Also 50mm wider than block on all sides. I used premix concrete ( one bag per footing worked well) Layed footing then positioned block, making sure it was level and straight. Once block is positioned i used remainder on concrete to form a bevelled edge going up the side of the block. ( can post a pic of this detail if you like.Hope this helps.

Love the figs. What species are they?
