My thoughts on the tree is that it could be J. Sabina Tamariscfolia or J. Pfitzerana but I'm really not sure. I do know that they back bud well and are prolific in foliage growth. I have bigger trunks here including one monster which will be a challenge to style.

I would lov to see how it looks now and if it has progressed thurther aswell. It looks like good stock to work with I agree :)
