ID and Styling advice please
Hi, I am just starting out again after a 10 or so year break from bonsai. Hopefully someone can ID this? I have forgotten what it is.
Styling advice or virts would be much appreciated. Thanks

Re: ID and Styling advice please
what are the dimensions to this tree mate? and what do you see in this tree? an obvious look is informal upright, but how do you see it if that is the case? a full canopy? padded branches? etc.

This should give you an idea of size
Is there a species guide to clerodendron anywhere?
Or any tips on what I should do when?
Thanks Rod that is pretty similar to what I had in mind, just couldn't quite visualize it.Is there a species guide to clerodendron anywhere?

Re: ID and Styling advice please
from my experience with them, they are tough as nails, can be wired reasonably easy, i have wired and bent branches without snapping them, they seem quite flexible when youngish, so far the biggest i have bent is up to about 6mm, but i am sure using raffia or similar you could get more movement, they have a fairly hard would and are good for deadwood features.
i think rod has hit the nail on the head with the virt.
you got an eye for these things dont ya rod!
