Re: Indoor Display
Hey nice tree Leigh. I've always wondered though, a lot of these corporate clients obviously have very nice furniture that the trees sit on like in the photo. When you come in and water them, how to do ensure that after you've left, that the water is'nt potentially damaging the furniture
Sorry if this sounds like a silly question.
John

Re: Indoor Display
Hi John,
This is the only client I have that has specifically asked not to have a stand. It sits directly on the marble counter.
I dont actually go in and water the trees either. I change the trees over twice a week. Trees are only ever in for 3 or 4 days. They get well watered before dropping them off and are ready for water again by the time I pick them up.
Cheers,
Leigh.

Re: Indoor Display
Hi Leigh, I thought something like that might be the case. I know a guy who does this and this only, in the Sydney Metro area. He does not sell bonsai and he has some remarkable specimens and some that are not so remarkable. My other question was, does the air-conditioning in some places that you hire to not have an adverse affect on some of your trees???

Re: Indoor Display
That looks great Leigh. They can look fantastic like this.
There is also the option of watering in the kitchen sink for indoor trees. I often dunk water the trees when they are inside for the winter and If I leave them to drain for 20 mins or so I can then put them on the furniture with no drips.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Re: Indoor Display
Thanks Antonio, and thanks Brett.
Hi John, the air con doesnt really have enough time to do much damage. After being inside for 3 or 4 days - the trees are outside for 2 to 3 weeks before going in again. I dont use any deciduous trees when they are bare (so as not to force growth from the heating inside). The only tree I have had problems with was a crabapple, they seem to dry out too fast - unless I have them in very deep pots. I have been close to a tad too dry on some banksia integrifolia. But, no adverse effects from air conditioning - all the trees are fine - and they have been used for this business for around 5 years.
Cheers,
Leigh.

Re: Indoor Display
Nice one Leigh.
In the past when Sue and did shows at shopping centers. We had our trees in from Wednesday to start with. We found this was one day too long with Air Conditioning. So we dropped back to Thursday and found that was OK.
Like you said well watered before.
Our tree's did this work for us for six years without a loss and only one broken pot.
Cheers mate was talking to a very happy lady yesterday regarding her P K pots.
Said she would recommend Ledanta to any one, so thats nice too.

Re: Indoor Display
It is very nice to see such a good sized specimen with foliage shaped but not cut into pom-poms. The tree has lovely balance and grace and is a credit to you.
