[FOR SALE] Sale of Bonsai at the Bay.
Hello all
Thank you first to Steven for allowing me to advertise in the Forum. Bonsai at the Bay is officially for sale. I have advertisied the business in the SMHerald this week as well as locally in the South Coast region of NSW.
I have over 1000 bonsai ranging from 300 potted in bonsai pots, and over 700 bonsai all growing in plastic growing bag/strofoam boxes and pots ranging from 4 inch to 20 inch black plastic pots. The quality and size of the all of the bonsai is of the highest quality.
$5000 worth of quality Joshua Roth Tools.
Also included in sale is a Toyota Hiace Van currently stickered with Bonsai at the Bay Advertising. Also the website which I sell from as well. http://www.bonsaibay.com.au My income currently is generated from consignment sales at local florists and nurseries/internet sales/markets once a month and sales from home /nursery as well as an ever expanding hire service with bonsai in businesses at $25-$40 per week.
Two purchase choices would be a local person to take over and expand where necessary or non local to take the business to a larger population area and push ahead there. Income can be propped up easily as the right time of the year. I took just over $20,000 the week before chrissy selling in Sydney with rent around $4000. I usually replicate this with 3 or 4 sales points but this year only did one.
Why am I selling??? I started the business originally out of necessity as I am a teacher by trade and was only getting 2-3 days work a week. I have been employed now as a permanent teacher (job for life) and am currently chasing executive work hence more hours dedicated to workplace. I will always do Bonsai (bonsai for life) but have decided doing it commerically is no longer a sane option.
I feel as though the business has been developed well over the last 6 years and will give a good springboard to the next interested party.
Having a lot of stock to start will help as waiting for things to grow to a commerical stage is very time consuming. Out of the 1000 bonsai the majority are ready to be sold as bonsai with a small clean up and potting. Anyone interested please give me a call home nursey number is 0244418005 or 0415609509

Re: Sale of Bonsai at the Bay.
Hey Brett and all, now stop being cheeky Brett
it will be a long time to thin out the bonsai one by one. I have had a little bit of interest with the business as a whole but nothing confirmed. I think if I do not sell it as a whole entity I will whittle the stock down over 6 to 12 months. Still some nice bits and pieces around
I am delivering 14 bonsai to 4 different addresses in Sydney tomorrow so some is going out but as you can see with the youtube video still a lot to go. Thanks for the calls and enquiries, nice to meet Greg(ausbonsai member) who runs the Goulburn bonsai society today at the nursery.

Re: Sale of Bonsai at the Bay.
Evening all
Well after 3 weeks of advertising across the Sydney Papers Australian/Chinese etc and a large internet push, I have not had any real serious nibbles at selling the business as a whole entity.
So here comes stage 2 of Bonsai slow down. I will be selling off stock from the nursery on the 12th and 13th Febuary at minimum 20% discount
to all ausbonsai members. I am currently very flexible with pricing as I can not continue to carry the amounts of stock I have. I would encourage any interested buyers to have a look at the youtube video
("sale of bonsai at the bay") as listed in the previous post. There has been about 40 pieces of large stock sold since that video but send an email or message if you are interested in any pieces and I can let you know if they are still available. I am taking 30% deposit (visa/mastercard is fine) on any stock to hold for 2 weeks. Delivery can be organised no problems.
Thanks for the interest it has been very nice to meet a few of you over the previous weeks
I am also clearing my stock of Joshua Roth tools Novice through to Masters grade tools a well as pastes/books/pots tweezers etc. If you look on line at the tools you may like on Joshua Roth website I can give you a price for what you like if I have it in stock (discounted)
Thanks Mason

Hello Mase,
How do we let you know we are ausbonsai members next week when you have your sale on. I was in Nowra this weekend and was going to drop in and check out your stock. I am looking for Juniper stock mainly but will look forward to seeing what you have next weekend.
Regards
Steve

Re: Sale of Bonsai at the Bay.
Now that you mention it Archie I think we better come up with a secret handshake
.
I have a another idea you have two choices to get your ausbonsai discount.
1/ Your best kookaburra call on arrival
2/ Shout out on arrival "I have been waiting all day for service can someone please help me"
These subtle calls will tip me off that I have "another" ausbonsai member to deal with
Looking forward to a few laughs and some stock dispersal .
Thanks Mase

Re: Sale of Bonsai at the Bay.
Hey Mase
I am heading that way to check out the realestate after staying North of Sydney for the weekend. Heading through Wednesday.
Too bad you will be working as I am bringing the board.
Oh that reminds me I don't want to be seen as a crack pot but I reckon we saw a black cat on the trail out to caves beach last time we where there
Really didn't see much but a black flash in the undergrowth but it was only a couple of foot from me and it moved like nothing I could explain else ways.
It was pretty freaky thinking about it later as 3 year old Bailey was walking way in front of us on that track on the way to the beach and I get the feeling it was in waiting on our way back
I have searched and found that has been an area for sightings

Re: Sale of Bonsai at the Bay.
Hey Brett
Sorry I will miss you on Wednesday. Black cat ? How big do you think, I have seen some wallabies with blackened fur after the fires and they fly, maybe/maybe not
I will set my cat trap next time I am out for a surf and see what transpires.
Take Care

Re: Sale of Bonsai at the Bay.
Well next time you take that track look down at the scrub to the right. See how deep it is. It was just coverd by the scrub. It moved with the agility of a fox under the growth but was bigger ran about ten meters before I saw just a flash of jet black that seemed to be it's tail or back. Maybe where they join
The story was-
Danica had walked ahead I had caught upto her on the track looking kinda scared saying there was something in the bush using my surfboard to protect the baby in the pram.(don't ask why she was carrying my surfboard
) I said and thought it was just a big lizard. IStepped to the edge of the track looking down into the scrub. Thought I saw the lizard. As I was saying there it is and stepping in closer to get a better look. Just to my left something big bolted. It was dam close.
Like I said I didn't see much but I can't think of anything else that moves like that of that size and then the flash of black
I don't think it was a singed wallabie

Brett, mate there were stories of a circus going through kangaroo valley years ago which lost a couple of black panthers. Not sure what truth behold but in my teens spending alot of time up that mountain ive seen some big scrap marks on treesBretts wrote:Well next time you take that track look down at the scrub to the right.
