Callistemon "Mathew Flinders" Dwarf variety
I recently got this plant as nursery stock from Bunnings any comments welcome please

Hi Boom,
I would let your tree grow a little more now then do some shaping again. Callistemon shoot back easily from bare wood so you are quite safe to let the foliage run a little and get some bulk into the trunk.

G'day Craig, thanks that was my plan to let it grow on and shoot new leaders and then decide where to take it, thanks for the advice.
The reason i chose this specimen is it throws very small dwarf sized Red Bottlebrush flowers that look stunning any help on how Callistemons flower will help me in trimming and pruning, anyone know where the flowers grow from?

If were you, I'd fix up the wiring on the branching. Run the wire up the trunk right to the branch before taking it along the branch. It'll look much more tidy, and you'll also have better control voer the branch.
