Suggestion for new thread

Post by Greth »

Could we have a thread specifically for identifying plants? Its a common topic, but in your existing format its a bit hard to know where to ask for help, and you need lots of responses sometimes before you work it out.
If you are not killing plants, then you are not extending yourself as a gardener..

Great suggestion from you both. A forum dedicated to that subject would create a lot of interest and input from experienced people on the site. Perhaps even someone with a couple of years under their belt might come up with the answers too. Now I have this juniper ......

Greth, I think that is a superb idea!!! May I add my own 5 cents worth to this debate though..

If this went ahead, I think we need to have some general rules attched. EG. Make sure if you add a post that it is against a neutral background to save people re-posting and saying things like "I can't quite see it".
A close up photo of the leaf and / or fruit and /or flower and a clear photo of the tree.

i think you are right, there would have to be some sort of guide line to post a tree in an ID thread, as like you have said with these probs. that can be sorted out if its a go ahead idea.

still waiting.
