Re: FOR SALE: CYCAS REVOLUTA
Any pictures of when it is in leaf? Do the leaves or fronds reduce in size?

I would be really interested in your experiences growing cycads. I have just set down some pups for future use.

Matt
I did not propagate the cycad , all the cycad that I have are nursery material and I use 50% sand with normal potting mix plus some cow manure (5%) ,I put a 1cm layer of pebble onthe bottom of the pot for drainage . As for leave reduction when I see the new set is about to come out I cut all the leave off
Another thing is when you first pull the tree out of the nursery pot try to get rid of the clay as much as you can .They do like lot of water in summer but very little in winter (end of june to august)
See how you go
