bonsai in the garden

Post by craigw60 »

As some of you will know I love my garden as well as my bonsai, if I had to make a choice the bonsai would win hands down. I wanted to fit the bonsai into the garden without making too much impact. Heres how I did it.

That looks great! How do you go with the wind? The trees don't look like they're secured.

Wind can be an issue but I keep an eye on the weather and if its forecast the ones at risk go on the ground. If I go away they all get put on the ground for the duration. Most of the trees are ok as their centre of gravity is pretty low just a few of them are top heavy and I have to watch those ones. My whole place is surrounded by huge mountain ash so its pretty sheltered.

Very nice Craig, looks like a garden you could spend a lot off time in something nice to come home to and unwind. :D

Hi Craig,

Obviously there are no gaps on your stands to send your 2 Banksia home in 6 months time!

We will just have to hang on to them in Canberra.
