i liked the old planting angle. i think that this one sort of hides the trunk. still a brilliant tree

I think i have found the pot for this tree. A Peter Krebbs pot. Master potter from Germany. This pot corresponds perfectly with Hiro's sketch. The tree is finally recovering. There were some hairy moments

So when the deadwood is finished and a restyle this year with Hiro once again. It will be deserving of the pot. I hope to have this tree show ready for 2012 AABC here in Melb. What do you guys think???

Wow that dead wood is going to be set off by the brown Krebb's pot. Cant wait to see them together.

When do you think is the right time to start wiring Juni's???

Thanks Velvet Yep its gonna go off !!!
The only time's that may not be as optimal for Heavy wiring and bending is probaly Summer. The cambium can pull away in the warmer weather. Light to medium wiring and styling any time in our climate. I personally find they respond well for me Autumn/winter. Freezing conditions you would need to protect a freshly wired and styled tree.

If you keep styling this tree mate you might end up with a nice piece of driftwood.......

What happened did the top die? No doubt you will turn it into something good any way mate

Hey mate, Na im gonna put it in the ground and grow it back up !!!

Yes mate the top died off, I think for more that one reason but primarily stripping so much bark and not realising a nasty Juniper scale infestation. I always loved the way the first branch and the base interacted so for me its not too much an upset. I live by the sword, i wanna make killer trees and learn as much as possible in a short space of time. I accept the consequences... So until then mate it aint drift wood yet !!!

G'day Antonio, I hadn't seen this thread before today and after reading back through it (which i enjoyed by the way) ,i noticed the tree has had several "ideal" looks about it as you progressed along. The after "Hiro' look was for my thinking absolutely on the money, I loved it.
So then when I reached the current post again the tree kept me looking again and again. I found myself thinking about your tree for a while

, how the small live part was twisting off from the Dead main tree,all the deadwood above it and the tree as a whole.
It reminds me very much of some Great Junipers I have seen pictures of which incorporate this type of jinned branching to great effect, tall and seemingly out of place and proportion.
I found myself beginning to admire it and wanting to see it. It lured me in and I let it.

Great work even if it was not planned mate, good luck from here
