Clerodendrum and Fig

Post by bundyfisher »

Hi all :D Just had a weekend at Maroochydore caught up with Shannon (blown away once again with his trees) and did a swap I had a trident maple which was not very happy in Bundy and I got an absolute ripsnorter of a Clerodendrum and he also threw in a Juniper Thumina .Shannon thankyou very much :D I showed Jamie today and told him that I felt like that I made off like a bandit   The Fig is one of the Benji's I swapped with a mate for a grafted lemon another happy trade  Feel free for comments or virts I have a plan for both but am open .
Cheers :D

Cleaned up the fig today cut a couple of large aerial roots (hope they are mature enough to bud) Zip ties to the rescue and into a grow box for a bit to see what happens. If this tree does what I'm hoping for it will be sweet ;)
Cheers :D

can those roots be spread out a bit more horizontal tony? they look like they are going down pretty heavy, i know they looked pretty heavy when i seen it.

if you can wire them out i would think bout doing that to help with taper a bit.
