Who wants a better price on top quality Japanese tools?

Post by Leigh Taafe »

Hi,

I am willing to do a "special" order of tools for ausbonsai members - as I did with the wire order recently.

For a bulk order of tools I am willing to just cover my expenses as long as the following criteria are met:

I need payment first (I put myself in a bad cashflow situation with the wire order I just did for you all - I cant carry that again)
Shipment will take 2 months
Once the shipment has arrived - postage will be via Aust Post and will need to be paid up front (once tools arrive).
I am happy to order 1 or 2 items per person - as long as the total order from everyone makes it worthwhile doing.
If I dont get enough people interested - I reserve the right to revoke this offer.
the offer stands as a "once off" and will cease once I have made the order with the manufacturers in Japan.
I offer Nobuichi & Masakuni as per my website
http://web.me.com/ledanta/Tools/Ledanta ... rsery.html

The price offered is 35% off the price on this site on each individual item (ie take the price on the website and multiply by 0.65)
This price includes shipping to me from Japan, but does not include Aust. Post from me to you.

I hope that by doing this I can help out people involved in the hobby and "give something back" to the bonsai community.

Cheers,
Leigh.
Cheers,
Leigh.

Good on you Leigh, what an offer for the people. I hope all A.Bers take advantage of this generous gesture.

Leigh,
Your a gentleman and a scholar!

I'll certainly be ordering at least one tool, but I don't think that I'll be able to resist only one!

Get on board people...

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

THIS IS A GREAT DEAL!!

any one that needs tools i would suggest getting on board, you will not get quality tools like this at this price ever, even going to manufacturers.

i hope people will look after leight like he is looking after us, especially after he has ordered the wire aswell, he is sticking his neck out for us so lets do the right thing and get the wire orders paid for so Leigh can feel comfortable in doing this.

Leigh the shears under this title

60121
Trimming Shear - Spring
200mm
265g

are these like a bypass secatuer? i think i need something like these for the larger branches and trunks instead of putting my branch cutters through hell.

and is there much difference to the knob cutter and the concave branch cutter, i know the know cutter has a spherical cut and the branch cutter is a different, but in terms of use would you recommend the concave branch cutter to do the same job as the knob cutter?

your doing a good thing leigh, karma should bless you :D

I just dont see why people couldnt pay for there wire up front. Just respect and good manners for such a good deal. Did you not get enough numbers on that in the end Leigh as well or just cash flow issue? There is no way i would have bank rolled any one, what do people think this is? :x

Leigh,

Send you a PM.

Keep those orders rolling, people. This is a once in a lifetime chance!

I agree fully with Ant.

If anyone has not paid for their wire order yet I think it would be best if they could do so ASAP. Leigh should not be made to have his cash tied up for 2 months with no benefit to him.

We have an excellent resource in Leigh here and we should treat these opportunities with the greatest respect so as to keep great people like Leigh around.

I too will be picking some tools for order as I have not seen such a high quality deal like this anywhere else.

Thanks for these great opportunities Leigh, you are one of Australian Bonsais greatest resources!

Thanks to all for your nice comments.

I am flexible with a cut off date - what do you all think is fair?
Cheers,
Leigh.
