The photo taken from too high an angle is deepening the pot but also there is an A Grade nebari in the making, just waiting to be exposed and i reckon this time next year and this tree will have grown into this pot nicely. ;) :D

Or maybe you're right and this pot is too masculine for this tree :?:

Nice work so far, Antonio!

I'm sure you've worked hard to get it, but you need to lose the branch on the inside of the first curve. Treat it as a sacrifice branch.

Peace.

Fly thanks for the input, always appreciated. I cant even begin to tell you how many times and how close that move has been contemplated and am glad i didn't. I think in the future that will be a possible restyle except that right hand branch and back branch need to go too. then the tree will need to grow taller and follow that flow. 1)To only take the left one off, leaves the basal movement opposing the first branch. For me this looks awkward, regardless of planting position. 2) In its current configuration, once i reach my goals and the tree is finished and syled. I believe the left branch semi cascading to a river will make this tree very unique. there are no 2 ways about it, i have to fulfill that vision, before i move on to its next incarnation. :D 8-)

Felt the urge to mention and talk about the "1st Branch on the Inside of the turn" Rules smule's! IMO of course; When you do have a branch on the inside of the turn i personally feel that if it drops or cacades it makes good sense and logic, therefor adds to the artistic integrity of its design. Then if the canopy is growing stronger to the side and over the top of the above mentioned branch, the story is sold. Lock stock and barrel. Just merely sharing my thought process for anyone that might care. ;)
