2 Japanese Buxus (I think)

Post by Craig.a.c »

Here are my two newest additions. I rescued them from the dumpster behind our local B*$%ings.
Both plants were originally 3-4 times the size of what they are in these pics, I had to cut off alot of dead and dieing branches.

Just finished giving it a quick cut and wire. Wanted to try and make it look more like a tree.
I need to thin out the right side, it's too thick compared to the left side.

mate, i would think about leaving it as is for now, if the tree was in the dumpster it was there cause it was dying off, i would concentrate on getting it healthy first then think about trimming, leave the right side as is mate, with your wiring and bending try and put as much movement in it as possible, in and out, up and down. i know box can be brittle so just be cautious but it can be done.

once it starts pushing growth and being strong, check out bonsai4me.com and look at the buxus profile it will show you how to pinch growth back on buxus which will give you more branching :D
