Do you have one of his books - "From Rainforest to Bonsai" ? Its a great book....
Just putting in a link here as it's an Aussie bonsai book worth having:

(I have no connection whatsoever to the eBay seller.)

Just being a stickybeak here: I noticed the book has been sold and am just wondering if a forumite bought it. (No need to reply if you'd rather not answer.)
Cheers,

A good looking pyro there Gerard (just to get the thread back on track) I have recently acquired one from somebodys yard and it is powering. Do you know if it is a red or orange berry? Be careful when it fruits its like magic that the birds know and they strip it in an hour
You will have to build protection for it if you want a display.

Thanks Bodhi, this one fruits yellow. Thanks for the warning I will put the cat out.
I have been meaning to ask you the species of fruiting tree saw at your place. Bright red fruit which you invited us to taste?
Regards Gerard

That would be the flowering currant. Not supposed to be a good Bonsai but i think everything has it moment to shine. I recently sold my last one to a Bendigo Person.

Thanks John,
I think it is time to move the bigger one out of the $5 pot and into something nicer.
Any suggestions for shape and colour would be welcome.
