Cheap Dremel-style tool at Aldi

Post by Ron »

I don't have a Dremel and have never used one (actually never even seen one).

Anyway, just got the weekly Aldi specials email which has this hobby tool set for $24.99 which might be of use for bonsai folk:

http://aldi.com.au/au/html/offers/2827_ ... 3-19-06-27

These don't go on sale until next Thursday (25/3/10).

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

it could possibly be alright Ron but you would probably have to discard those tips and buy some decent ones. they will most likely snap and break.

i would also be keeping the receipt :D

I've bought a few of these non-grocery items from Aldi (not going to tell you what 'cause I don't want to Jonah myself :? ) and haven't had any problems. I'll be in line next Thursday (stores don't always get a lot to stock and you have to be there when they open (9am) if it's a good deal).

Watch for it heating up Ron had a cheap kept burning my hand so be aware. The flexi shaft is good but if you do use it again watch for heating. It needs lubricating frequently like all tools.

As Brett said hold onto you receipts. Cheers :) Pup
