Great shot of a great tree :D
Did this end up getting defoliated this year?
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

It is looking great guys but again, nothing compares to seeing the trees of the collection in the bark! The flowing curves, carving work and structure of Quentin's Elm must really be seen in person to truly appreciate. While your photography is good it just doesn't portray the rhythm or movement that you see when viewing in person.

Here is a shot I took recently that I quiet like...

Quentin is so good with detail his trees are are real inspiration. I think his collection was seriously damaged by the recent hailstorm. I hope the damage is repairable.

I really like the trunk shot with the short depth of field and the out of focus person. Great perspective & nice clarity and colour.

Yes Quentin is an inspiration to us all !!! Many trees of that caliber in his collection. Some damage has occured in his collection due to the hail storm. many years of fine twiggy ramification lost. Not much to some, but meant years of teadious work for him. This man is so generous with his time and effort for the clubs of Vic, as well as many of us individuals. HE's our home boy and we love him!!! ;) 8-) :D
