[WANTED] In Search for Satsuki
Hi all
I have been searching for Satsuki stock trees for a while now and I am strugleing to find anything in South East Queensland. I have been to all the Bonsai nurseries around Brisbane and have email several nurseries in NSW and VIC with only a couple of replies and they will not post. Dose anyone know of or have Satsuki stock trees for sale and can post them.
Thanks
Andrew

Re: In Search for Satsuki
I have stacks of them - but they are only in 4 inch containers - not very large!
Cheers,
Leigh.

Re: In Search for Satsuki
I have about 4 or 5 varieties and the 4 inch container stock is $5 each (it is large for the pot - should have been potted up to 6 inch).
Cheers,
Leigh.

Re: In Search for Satsuki
Leigh, are these able to be posted? If so, what would postage cost to Nth Qld? Will they grow here? My mum has azaleas (not sure of variety but almost certainly not satsukis) growing in afternoon sun and they are doing well. I would be interested in 3 or 4.Leigh Taafe wrote:I have about 4 or 5 varieties and the 4 inch container stock is $5 each (it is large for the pot - should have been potted up to 6 inch).

Re: In Search for Satsuki
OK - here is an example of the stock.
They are $5
At the moment (because they arent labelled) It will be hit and miss as to what you will get (I can identify them by their flower but not their foliage). It seems there are no saotome, but there is definately "osakazuki", "koryu", and "yochiyo" there is also a chance of another one I would have to did the name up of which has both pink and white flowers - the same one that "Espresso" posted here on our forum.
If anyone wanted a variety I could do my best to separate them by foliage, but they are very similar.
I did have a lot of these, but as I was running a "sale" this weekend, I now only have 36 left. They are $5

Hi Leigh
Can you bring some to the convention this weekend? I can get Clinton Nesci to pick them up for me as I cannot get there
I would like to get 2 of each variety if you can identify them, but otherwise just 8 randoms will do

Why do I get the image of Leigh driving into Sydney with plants up under his armpits, on the passanger seat, out the windows, strapped to the roof.

It has been 8 months now since I posted this with not much luck. So I thought I would give it another go.
