Re: greenhouse
Howdy,
I am not sure you need a greenhouse in BrisVagas.
I started with all my trees under shade cloth and they all went lanky with big leaves. A better result has been with them in part shade in the summer.
Repot often, fertilize lots and cut or defoliate figs at least twice a year.
At aabc in Sydney there was discussion of defoliating figs 4 times a year in Canberra.
Good luck,
Bruce

Re: greenhouse
I would have to agree with Bruce. I am actually moving most of my trees to get some more sun on them. I had 2 bougys nearly die from being left in the shade. I don't have a lot of room, and while the garden trees give much needed shade in summer a lot of my plants get no sun if I leave them in the same place.

Re: greenhouse
Ahhh so it's like a glasshouse and keeps up the humidity for the figs. I think I can see a benji, port jackson and a moreton bay ? I have a smaller version of one of those - cooked a whole lot of cuttings over summer
Ended up taking the plastic cover off and covering it in shadecloth. It's in total shade now and wont get used again until October. What side of the river do you live on ?

Re: greenhouse
Did you buy this as a DIY kit from Bunnings or similar? I'm after one

Re: greenhouse
Be aware of these type of green houses if in a windy area, they tend to blow away quite easily.
Peg these down with tall star pickets and tie at top and bottom on all four corners.
Nice collection Steve.

Re: greenhouse
Handy Mick, yeah I had a look today and they would be gone in a split second here unless secured really well.
stevemg cheers for that, I think I'm going with a DIY plan for my own greenhouse/hothouse - oh I got some planning to do

Re: greenhouse
Here's my old greenhouse. Got big holes in the roof where hail went through, and the door plastic is decaying....
