using 2 wires

I am interested to know peoples opinions on using 2 wires on a a trunk. Do you space the 2 wires or have them snug up against. I was taught snug together but i'm starting to wonder. common sense tells me spaced apart would distrbute pressure better.

I know some of you want to tell me use one wire in the first place. Only reason I ever use 2 is if the first doesnt hold(error in judgement), or sometimes it may be more gentle on a tree to use 2X3.5mm rather than 1x6mm.

If you are displaying trees there should be no wire on the trunk, only branches and twigs so it is really up to the individual. Most teachers and demonstrators tell you to make them parallel, because they look neater, have them apart as you say does in fact help in bending.

When it comes to wiring I tell the people I am talking too, good wiring principles are better, but I do not have to look at it once you have taken it home.

However can you live with it, and for how long, so better is good, bad is always bad.

I always used to put them together, but Hiro Saito saw me doing this and told me its much better to space them, as you said for more even pressure. so now I do that.

thats the one for heavy bending!!! gives more support to a larger surface area. the other is for prettiness and neatness
