An old friend was in Japan for the 1989expo and the bonsai. He asked one of theolder statesmen of the Bonsai fraternity, when do you know your tree is mature enough to be called a Bonsai?.
The answer was when the birds nest in them.
When he came home from that show he was estatic, for he had some New holland honey eaters nesting in one of his Azaleas.
