Leigh is running a bit late after having to wrangle the kids.
I won't cut off anything until we have the camera etc set up.

OK, we are semi up and running.
Leigh is just taking some shots.
He has just informed me his battery is running down! I presume he means his camera.

We should have the worm going so we get real time approval rating.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Grant and Leigh, first of all, thankyou for giving us the opportunity to see this restyle in almost real-time. We are indeed fortunate.
I hope that you opt for either option 2 as skecthed or for option 3, in my opinion this tree does not have the trunk weight or taper to be convincing as an upright tree, despite it's impressive age. The aged bark and the way that the trunk exits the soil would be assets to the design if it is to be styled as a Semi-cascade and I am looking forward to seeing some 50 year old wood being bent.
Cheers,
Mojo

Re: Overhaul of a 59 year old Mugo Pine.
crazy roots i see a couple of options one is a upright wind swept to the right with jin to the left or a sought of semi cascade dropng to the right with jin up to the left as for the cascade dont know how youl go tilting it to much with those roots but what ever you do it will be a corker

Hi everyone,
we have been having trouble with my steam driven computer and have not been able to upload any video! leigh will put up videos later.
We will just have to do it the old fashion way over this internetty thingy and photos.
Branches cut off and trunk stripped though already.
more photos on the way soon.

Sorry about the fizzle! I am back at my place now and will attempt to download the 2 videos we took. Grant has more pics on his laptop of the progress - I have resized them all for him - he will post them when he gets a chance.
Cheers,
Leigh.
