trident for ant and jarrod

Post by jarryd »

in the spirit of the trident broom styles posted recently i thought i should also share one i have been working on for the last 3 yrs, very similar, i think jarrods tree probs came from the same growing feild as mine judging on how similar it is.

with this tree my goal is to create a spooky old haunted tree that apeared as if it would reach out and grab you.

the tree is going to undergo some major work to the uro's this winter as only some basic carving has been done, old pruning scars need to be rashaped to apear more natural aswell as further structural work to the branching and nebari.

cheers jarryd

it does give you that creepy, jump-out-and-grab-you feeling... as if it might uproot and follow you. Even looks like it has a bit of a face up near the apex there

Looking good mate. Though the photos seems a bit dark.

I have another that I will post up once the leaves drop.

Not sure it is from the same patch as yours seems older?? Mines more likely from the same patch as Ants as it's from the same place. ;)
Cheers for sharing this!

Great tree love the character of the trunk wouldn`t it have been a shame if someone had used the cut paste on it. Cheers Rod...
