Always a good find with you Oz! I will be interested in having a better look at at better photo when cleaned up. As it is, it appears that there is alot up top that cant be used for lack of taper. None the less the base looks interesting enough. :D 8-) ;)

Ha Ha Ozzy. Just got back from a walk out the bush with the kids next to the one I found yesterday. Walked 20 foot deleting pics of my camcorder so I had some room for pictures thought oh I haven't been looking looked up saw one almost straight away. Only small but that was very promising that there was more.
Walked around for a couple of hours then drove around in the 4WD and did not see a single other. Found one large leaf privet not big but worth collecting I guess.
Took the road home that I found the first great one on and finally found one more small one at the opposite end of the first bush I was looking in. Drove through this end still none. Then just on the way out I found a clump of them. One has a very wide flat Forrest clump type base. A couple that seem to have small leaves and one big one I have not got a look at the base yet. So looks like I have a few to collect around here anyway :D
maybe I will get lucky but I think you will get luckier :P

Yes you would have to have a screw loose to tackle something this big and think you can turn it into a bonsai ... and fortunately for me I do have a screw loose

Damn fine and grand, great movement. Maybe the second top branch would be a good apex - reasonable taper, and keeps the mad dynamics and angles.

Great find.
