Semi Cascade Attempt with a Weeping Fig.

Post by kvan64 »

This is a 10 months cutting weeping fig (from the local park behind my back yard). The council tractor ran over a small tree and up-rooted it. I saved the tree and also made some cuttings out of it. It took roots very easily.
I haven't found a suiltable pot for it. The rocks were originally meant to help secure the roots when I did the wiring. It's a 45 minutes job and I like the movements. Any suggestion is welcome as I may try this with a few more other cuttings.

interesting DK :D

I like where this one is going! when you start to get to the stage of building the branch structure it will come up trumps :D are you going to build a canopy with the top branch? if so i would probably chop reasonably hard to get some new shoots to work with and build the apex out of the bottom 3rd of that branch ;)

nice mate :D
SHOHIN YAKUZA!!!

I was thinking of using both branches for the semi cascade but you just sparked new light for me. If I go that way, I may as well convert it to full cascade. Good suggestion jame.
