slab an olive?

hi all ,going to my farm tomorrow thinking of digging up some nice mugos and some of my Christmas trees, pretty sure I’ll be ok there just take care of roots and soak in seasol..
My only concern is wanting to dig out 1 maybe 2 olives (only got 5000 to choose from) somebody from my club said to slab it but don’t no the complete procedure please help...

Chris has bee the one showing us the way with Olives.

From this stage after collecting he just soakes it in water (seasol may help) until roots show and then he plants them out.

Hi Ricardo, If you happen to dig more than what you need. I'm happy to pay some cash for a good looking stump (flat cut like the one in Chris' thread).

Yep ozzy showed me the way with this after you flat cut the bottom you just plonk the stump in water and change the water every few days untill you see white dots on the stump then plant. I have never used fets until it goes in the ground

hi all thanks for the help so far.
i placed the stump in a container with some sphagnum moss water and seasol, any idea how long to leave like this for?

I usually soak them in water for a week before potting them up, sometimes I've even just put them stright into potting mix and kept it nice and wet, they seem to regenerate whatever you do, they can also take anywhere from two weeks to two years to shoot again, but usually only a few weeks or months.

hi potted it today hope fully all goes well..
but for now just going to think about the carving job ahead of me prob about this time next year.
any sudgestions tips or advise?

Thats a ripper. I would secureit in nice and tight with wire or rope.

hi tried my fisrt virt, just playing around with it but u should see my idea.
the white and black is meant to be carving hope the real thing is better.

as id relly like 2 get into this aspect of bonsai..

If it was mine I'd remove the taperless left fork and use the trunkline to the right.
