Collected Sumo Bailey's

Post by kvan64 »

I collected this Bailey's peach together with a few other ones last year. I was told that they are over 20 years old. One of them flowered nicely and this one didn't. I just did a severe chop on it. The base is about 170mm and I am thinking of twin trunk. Any comment is welcome.
I have a similar one that I haven't done much work on that I'd like to trade for an olive, or crab apple or something interesting. Please let me know if you are interested. I will post pics of the other one when I have a chance to clean it up.

gday DK :D

this one has definate potential to be a great twin trunk! i would reduce the major trunk down like you did with the minor trunk to create some taper. then develop it to show it of in flower :D

Thanks guys, I did a major root trimming before repotting this sumo. I can't wait for it to develop ramification for the banches so I could put it in a bonsai pot.
