Bonzmend cutting paste

Post by pommie_mal »

I found this stuff about a month ago on Evilbay. It works out about half the price of the Japanese stuff in the green & brown container. It cost me around $14 delivered from the UK. That's a 200g tub, compared to the Japanese stuff which is only 160g & around $20 - $25.

Not a bad saving. Maybe the nurseries can get this stuff in for us with the same savings?
Do you notice any difference when using it. Just as plyable and stuff?
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Seems about the same in pliability. Doesn't stick to your fingers like the Japanese stuff.
Only problem is that Customs are very suspicious of the stuff. Because it's a brown putty-like sustance, it looks a lot like Hashish! I had a couple of pamphlets inserted by Customs explaining that they had reason to open each tub. All good though.

I bought two tubs of the Japanese in 1994 for $8-00 per tub still using the first tub, so i am happy, the trick is not to put it on too thick other wise you waste it. Thinner it is the better it works. On thread grafts it needs to protect the hole from getting too wet, so they fuse better.

A little saliva stops it from sticking to your fingers.

Cheers :) Pup

Ps thats a nice tree in your avatar

Yeah, the stuff lasts for ages. I just ran out & found this stuff on Ebay.
The tree in my avatar is one of Ernie Kuo's. He has some fantastic collected California Junipers.
