Green island fig

Decided to shape a green island fig ive had sitting round for a few months.
oh and it took a few glasses of Jack D's :lol:

hi mate,

nice effort, if you kick that tail back to the left it will sit better, GI Fig are one of the slower growing figs so this might take a while to fill out but none the less with time it will. I know when they fruit they look good but those fruit are draining energy, energy you could be using to get some more growth. i like that you have an apex and where it comes from out of the trunk, its in the right spot but again needs a fair bit of time.

After you have done that Pat. I would think seriously about swapping those two pots over for a year or two as well.

AS Jamie said, GIF's are a bit slower growing, but a bit or room and a pile of fertiliser will help out a bit.

That should be a nice little tree for you in a fairly short time.
