bark, bases and the odd flower

was mucking around with my camera inbetween repots today and took these , new camera and i didnt set the quality setting low forcing me to resize considerably reducing image clarity but here they are anyway. will play with it more on the weekend, got plenty more but here are just a few :D

Your season appears to be a week or 2 ahead of my place. Buds are just showing a hint of green colour on elms but little activity yet on the tridents.
There's some nice shapes and textures amongst those pics you've posted.

Nice arty shots Matt! You have a good eye for photography as well as bonsai ;)
Perhaps try to have your subjects a bit off centre next time. Sorry for the criticism but I mean it in the nicest and most constructive way.

Anja no just my unsteady hand , The camera is new .
Canon EOS 500D DSLR
was shot just with a standard lens and auto settings. Im yet to muck around with it but i also have a macro lens and light ring im yet to try.
