Excellent, do you have other examples of some of the glazes that you use?

Scott, Penny has a large range of glazes that she regularly uses & we are about to start testing a heap of new ones. I am looking forward to seeing some of the glazes on pots & how they react with the differing clay bodies.

Scott, I have a range of glazes and several clay bodies so one glaze over two different clay bodies will give two different colours thereby increasing the range.
Mitchell, I never know exactly what the result is until I see it. There is always a surprise - sometimes it's not pleasant. The final say is up to the kiln gods.
Who mentioned party time? I can always have a kiln-opening party like the old big-time potters used to have. Kiln opening next week (possibly one this Saturday) - there should be enough pots for two firings. At the very least, I'll take photos.
I can hardly wait to see how Matt's pots will turn out. He'll probably put me out of a job.

I really like the shape of the bottom left pot, a good shape for satsuki, what colour will this be glazed?

Also Penny, could you make any pots like these, I understand that the glazes would be different but similar colours would be good.

May the gods smile on my first steps into the realm of the glaze, tho with a mentor like yourself showing the way I feel a little confident there will be one or 2 that come out half decent. Not much chance of me putting you out of a job, not unless your going to stop making the stunning pots you do. We can talk about demarcating lines when I cross over from little accents & you go towards them. Sleepless night here so expect lots of new pics to keep us motivated.

This mini is absolutely stunning & if I can get halfway near as good with a single pot I will be a very happy man. The balance, proportion and sheer finish of the pot and then topped with that insane glaze! Somehow I think it will be more than a few years before that happens but I have something to strive for.

Nice pot Senseijames. Is it done in a mould or handbuilt?
Matt, buttering me up's not going to make any difference to the outcome of the firing - better to make a sacrifice to the kiln gods.
Scott, the white pots are Matt's new food bowls and the pink/tan pot will be approx 15 x 12 x ?height when fired. I haven't decided what colour yet. I do have a few green-blue colours but they work best over a white clay body.

Had a ball playing with Penny's glazes, cant wait to see how some of them come out. Have mixed & matched without much idea of what is what so it will definitely be interesting to say the least. I also got to bring home a few pots that arent able to be fired to stoneware temps. My first attempts so be kind.
