Judging is not an easy task as people see things in different perspective and have different likes and dislikes and keeping personal feelings out of judging is a difficult task. Reading Sis' comments above leads me to believe that their should be a 'Peoples Choice' award included in the next comp.I thought the 4th place finisher was the best in my book
Excellent attitude mate and I'm sure that we would have liked more entries as well. The contest wasn't important to me. It was just a nice opportunity to show my tree and to make some new friends. I was hoping to see more bonsais like some giant Port Jackson figs though.
For sure we should have more competitions but I believe that this one should become an annual event and we should look for a sponsor and get it out there in Australia. We will also have to improve our Photographic skills or pay someone to take the photo for the competition and in order to make this viable it might be necessary to make the sponsor make the prize pool a little more interesting.Steve, you should do the contest again in a few years.
Well deserved Pup. I am sure you will put them to good use.Pup wrote:Another thank you is now warranted. My prize has just arrived and very nice too, it will now complete the set of SS.
