PARROTIA PERSICA VANESSA
The skeleton has been formed, spring buds are starting to swell. This parrotia has new growth that is faintly edged in claret and the tree produces catkins. As the foliage matures it becomes solid green but the tree can be defoliated several times in the growing season to promote smaller leaves and the claret edging. The plant has been in training for several years and still has several years to go before it is ready for a bonsai pot but it is a strong, healthy, solid tree with movement and nice branch position. The apex could be reshaped as new growth develops and the scarring from large branch removals is healing well.
Trunk at base: 4.5 cm height 40 cm
$75
Pick up only from Sydney Inner West
